Dr. Guy Meadows (BSc, MSc, PhD)

Guy has been studying human physiology and psychology for twelve years of which seven has been devoted purely to sleep research and the prevention of sleeping disorders.

Guy believes that getting a good night's sleep is as important for optimal human performance as eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly. In recent years Guy has narrowed his focus solely onto the prevention of chronic insomnia and now uses his in-depth knowledge to provide highly a successful holistic non drug-based plan for chronic insomnia sufferers.

Gary Ward

Gary Ward has been a Personal Trainer for ten years. He has a degree in European Studies from Loughborough University. Following a PGCE at Nottingham University, Gary went for some 'time out' in France and worked no less than five winter ski seasons selling ski boots; he became fascinated by the anatomy of the foot.

To this day the foot has captured Gary's imagination and when working with the body, he has always tried to ensure that the foot is functioning optimally. Those five years highlighted that injury and poor foot mechanics come hand in hand. Ten years in the fitness industry and numerous PT courses, but where was the information on the foot? He created Anatomy in Motion as an extension to all he has learnt regarding the human body combining the mechanics of the foot directly with the exceptional auto-corrective properties of the human body. Gary is a fan of all movement: admiring all from break dancers and skate boarders to field sport athletes and runners. His principal activities are skiing, golf and climbing and he also has an active interest in mental, emotional as well as physical healing.

Sophie & Audrey Boss

Sophie & Audrey Boss are the authors and founders of Beyond Chocolate. Beyond Chocolate is a radically different approach to weight loss.

Serial dieters for years, Sophie and Audrey Boss finally overcame their weight problems when they discovered the key to success: break free from the diet mentality and learn how to listen to your body so that you can make food choices that really work for you.

Sophie & Audrey propose a liberating approach to establishing a healthy and satisfying relationship with food, and a positive body image. Based on extensive research and on helping thousands of women through their workshops and courses, Sophie and Audrey have distilled everything they've learned about how to stay off diets and still lose weight in 10 simple principles that will allow you to:

  • Eat whatever you want without feeling guilty
  • Lose weight and not worry that you'll put it back on
  • Only think about food when you are hungry
  • Stop overeating * Feel comfortable in your body
  • Wear clothes you like and feel good in.

Beyond Chocolate is your passport to freedom!

She also has a wide-ranging personal experience in disciplines such as dance, swimming, rowing and climbing.

Matthew Stone

Matthew has devoted his career to exploring the keys to unlocking human potential. In university he read social sciences, focussing on social and environmental psychology. Post university, the wicked world of advertising beckoned. Missing its soul, he went East and studied with Indian Gurus, Zen Masters and leading exponents of human potential. Amongst numerous personal development courses, he trained as a Humanistic Psychotherapist with an organisation called The Humaniversity. On qualifying, he led a therapeutic community in Dorset called The Leela Centre. Its primary purpose was to help individuals and groups to grow in their ability to access and live from their highest potential. This led to becoming School Director of an independent, boarding school in Devon called Osho Ko Hsuan School.

London beckoned and Matthew joined a training company called Kennedy Scott, supporting long term unemployed young people to get back into work. This was deeply rewarding but ultimately provided too small a canvas in which to evolve his own developmental approach.

Seven years ago was the birth of The Stone Partnership, his own coaching and training company. This provided the opportunity to apply his own approach to working with individuals and organisations. He tends to work with large organisations or individuals who show clear commitment to untapping their reservoirs of ability. Clients include, Starbucks, News Corporation, Channel 4, Morgan Stanley, Guardian Newspapers, Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Current projects include wring a book helping readers unlock their very best ability whilst achieving maximum fulfilment along the way.

Anatomy in Motion - The Foot

Presented By Gary Ward

Anatomy in Motion provides an alternative way of understanding anatomy. It breaks the mould of conventional thought processes by assessing the truth behind the body in motion. What we have discovered is that although the anatomy book is right, the interpretation of it may have led to misguided practices and training schedules that don't correlate with the way the human body is designed to move.

This anatomy workshop highlights the role of the foot in movement and it's direct connection to the rest of the body through muscle slings, joint motion, the nervous system: all of which are governed by the indisputable laws of biomechanics.

AiM uses full body movement patterns that match the desired interconnection between the joints, muscles, fascia and the nervous system to help the body subconsciously find it's ultimate path of least resistance. What's different about us? We let the feet do the talking…
